WICHITA, KANSAS — A deadly shooting in west Wichita has claimed the life of 37-year-old William Johnson and left another man seriously injured following a violent confrontation near West Kellogg Avenue, according to authorities in Wichita.

Police responded to reports of a disturbance and possible gunfire in the area of Kellogg and Dugan, where evidence of a confrontation was discovered in a parking lot in the 6300 block of West Kellogg.

Victims Identified After Hospital Reports

Authorities confirmed that Johnson later died at a local hospital after sustaining gunshot wounds. A second victim, a 54-year-old man whose identity has not been released, was also hospitalized with serious injuries and is currently reported to be in stable condition.

Investigators say both victims were involved in the same incident after separately arriving at the hospital with gunshot wounds.
