Police Investigate Casula Shooting in Sydney’s South West
Authorities are investigating a public place shooting that occurred overnight in Casula, in Sydney’s south west, after reports of gunfire at a local shopping centre.
According to NSW Police, just after 1:50am on Saturday, April 18, 2026, officers from Liverpool City Police Area Command were called to a shopping centre along the Hume Highway near Box Road in Sydney’s suburb of Casula following reports that a shot had been fired at a shop.
Police were informed that two men fled the scene in a white SUV, believed to have travelled along Pine Road shortly after the incident. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
A crime scene has since been established as investigators continue to examine the circumstances surrounding the shooting. Officers are working to identify those involved and determine a possible motive.
NSW Police have urged anyone with information, CCTV footage, or dashcam recordings from the area at the time of the incident to come forward as inquiries continue.
